We can all get a little patriotic when it comes to celebrating St George’s day, the patron saint of England, on the 23rd April. So why not make a little flag to wave on the school run, at the playground, or just at tea because you can!!!
what to do…
- draw a cross on a piece of card, if you have a laminator, laminate this template.
- cut out the cross
- attach another piece of card to a lollipop stick or twig
- place cut out template onto of plain card and secure with paper clips, using red paint brush over the template
- remove the template and there you have your st George’s flag, if you feel like adding some sparkle, sprinkle red glitter on the top!!!
then into a little dream adventure…
- do the same activity but instead of making a flag, make it into bunting
- go hunting for dragons in the garden or the woods, don’t forget to dress up in your knights outfit first!!
- make a sword out of card and kitchen foil and a shield, with the St Georges flag painted on it
- read ‘winnie the pooh book of verse,’ find the poem ‘wherever i am there’s always pooh, there’s always pooh and me…’
just because…
