After making the porky pie parcels, which can be found at www.placeoflittledreams.com/porky-pie-parcels/, we had quite a large amount of left over pork mixture, so we decided to make meatballs with it, just by adding the beaten egg and a weetabix, this was a very simple and delicious tea!!!
what you need…
- 500g pork sausage meat
- 150g bacon pieces
- 1 onion
- 1 weetabix
- 1 egg beaten
- mixing bowl
- small pan
- spoon
- baking tray
- tin foil
what you do…
- turn the oven onto 200c
- cut the bacon into very small pieces and cook in a small pan until browned
- chop the onion finely and add to bacon and cook until it softens
- mix the bacon and onion to the pork, and mix together in a large mixing bowl
- add a beaten egg and a crushed up weetabix
- mix it all together
- then with your hands create little meatballs and place in a tin foiled baking tray
- place in oven and cook for 30 minutes, or until cooked through…
- you can either add them to a tin of tomatoes heated through to add to pasta, for a delicious tea time meal OR find some mini burger buns and pop them inside for a burger treat…delicious.
