After making the porky pie parcels, which can be found at www.placeoflittledreams.com/porky-pie-parcels/, we had quite a large amount of left over pork mixture, so we decided to make meatballs with it, just by adding the beaten egg and a weetabix, this was a very simple and delicious tea!!!

what you need…

  • 500g pork sausage meatpork meatballs
  • 150g bacon pieces
  • 1 onion
  • 1 weetabix
  • 1 egg beaten
  • mixing bowl
  • small pan
  • spoon
  • baking tray
  • tin foil

what you do…

  1. turn the oven onto 200c
  2. cut the bacon into very small pieces and cook in a small pan until browned
  3. chop the onion finely and add to bacon and cook until it softens
  4. mix the bacon and onion to the pork, and mix together in a large mixing bowl
  5. add a beaten egg and a crushed up weetabix
  6. mix it all together
  7. then with your hands create little meatballs and place in a tin foiled baking tray
  8. place in oven and cook for 30 minutes, or until cooked through…
  9. you can either add them to a tin of tomatoes heated through to add to pasta, for a delicious tea time meal OR find some mini burger buns and pop them inside for a burger treat…delicious.
