These are totally yummy and make for the ideal little snack or treat…
what you need…
- 150g self raising flour
- half a teaspoon of salt
- 75g butter
- 75g cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp milk
- star cutter
- baking tray
- baking paper
- large bowl
- wooden spoon
- small bowl
- grater
- pastry brush
what to do…
- turn the own on to 200c
- add the flour, salt and butter to the bowl
- rub the mixture with your fingers until it resembles crumbs
- grate the cheese and add to the mixture and stir
- beat the egg and the milk together in a separate small bowl
- and add to the mixture leaving a small amount for brushing the pastry later
- on a floured surface, roll out the dough
- using the star cutter, create as many shapes as you can and place on the baking tray
- brush the stars with the left over milk/egg mixture and place in the oven
- bake for 8-10 minutes
- eat warm or cold
