For those of you that know me, bubbles are almost certainly one of my most favourite things. Then there’s bubbles and paint and fun…I’ve got myself one of my favourite art activities. Here’s what you do!!!

bubble painting

what you need…

  • paint
  • paper
  • bowl
  • fairy liquid
  • water
  • straw per child

what to do…

  1. squeeze lots of paint into the bowl
  2. add a dollop of water and heaps of fairy liquid to the paint
  3. practise blowing with the straws first!!! its almost inevitable one child will suck and end up with bubbly soapy painty mouth!!!
  4. then place the straws into the mixture, and blow, a lot!!!
  5. once you have achieved a mountain of bubbles, place your paper carefully on top of the bubbles, gently pressing down to make the print (be careful not to press down into the water though as this will ruin the bubbly effect)
  6. pick the paper out of the bowl and leave to dry…
  7. and repeat!!! because you just can’t help yourself!!! enjoy…

then into a little dream adventure…

  • invest in a bubble machine. I think these are possibly the coolest kits around and I’m yet to meet a child who doesn’t absolutely love chasing, popping or dancing with bubbles…they are the perfect party trick and garden activity. Dancing with bubbles and music…always a brings happiness.
