When making your ladybird craft, think about all the other opportunities you can create for your child to learn:

  • go into the garden searching for ladybirds, find one!!! How many spots does it have? what color are its wings? does it fly? does it crawl? is it big? is it small?
  • look up the lifecycle of a ladybird, did you know ladybirds lay eggs, up to 300 at any one time!
  • read the book ‘the bad tempered ladybird’
  • find the nursery rhyme ‘ladybird, ladybird fly away home…’
  • pretend to fly like a ladybird
  • live a little dream…
