This is such a fun activity for little kiddies to get involves in….practising their transferring skills with all things pretty to fill a bauble to place on the Christmas Tree. A gorgeous activity, with simply lovely results…
what you need…
- empty plastic baubles
- glitter
- feathers
- sequins
- ribbon
- scissors
- teaspoon
what to do…
- transfer your sequin, glitter, feather of choice into the bauble using a teaspoon
- fix the bauble together
- thread the ribbon through the top of the bauble and cut using scissors to the required length
- hang on the Christmas tree
- enjoy the sparkle…
into a little dream adventure…
- all sorts of wonderful ideas could be placed inside the bauble, maybe it could be a gift filled with chocolates or fudge or sweeties or smarties, or a hand written recipe for someone to enjoy, or a poem. A treasure map, leading you to the treasure…or a spy code, which will need de-coding…
- what other ideas can you think of to fill your bauble?
- maybe a handwritten name on the outside of the bauble?
- an idea that i think would work brilliantly is crayon chippings, grated into the bauble, fix the bauble together and shake, use a hairdryer to melt the chippings and create a gorgeous rainbow coloured firework bauble
- maybe ask your child to think of all the things they can think of related to Christmas and compile a list together…can they write some of the words???? or can they think of rhyming words? what rhymes with tree? snow? bell? create a poem using some of these words…
