With great excitement and anticipation we made our way to see the wonderful production of Julia Donaldsons ‘stickman’ at the Leicester Square theatre. It was fantastic and a brilliant start to the Christmas holidays. Always a much loved story book in our household at bedtime, it was such a great experience for the boys to see it come to life on stage.

My boys enjoyed it so much they sang the stickman song solidly for weeks!!!! Dreams were made true on Christmas Day when we all got to watch the wonderful animated film of the story on tv. It was a joy to watch for all ages of the family – loved it!!!!

Whilst roaming the great outdoors yesterday for some fresh air and peaceful moments…we found some sticks, and an idea popped into my head!!!!

what to do…

  1. find 5 sticks of different sizes
  2. let them dry out on a radiator for an hour
  3. using squeezy glue, squeeze a small amount onto each stick
  4. place 2 boggley eyes on each stick
  5. there you have it, your stick family…stickman, his stick lady love and three children 1,2,3…
  6. enjoy playing, re creating, acting out the stickman story
